2018 SUMMER COLOUR TRENDS

By  |  0 Comments

Trends are taking two opposed directions: on one side towards a strong, vibrant palette, that recalls fauvist pictures, on the other towards pastel hues on light and restructured garments, for an ethereal look. Here are the coolest and strongest colours for this summer…

LEMON YELLOW

When life gives you lemons wear yellow colour! A vibrant, energising tone of yellow. And a little wild, too, just think of paintings by Matisse. And yellow’s comeback for 2018 is strictly connected to purple, its complementary colour.

SAGE GREEN

While there was a definite preference for chalkier, muted greens over more saturated options; overall, a diverse range of of shades were shown, which is not surprising considering Sage Green as the colour of the year.

DUSTY PINK

ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA, VERSACE, FEN CHENG WENG

You may have been told that pink was a seasonal colour and that next season you wouldn’t be wearing it. If you were, then think again. For sure more paler but still strong Dusty Pink is here to stay. Pink is now an embedded part of men’s fashion and it’s about time you embraced it.

ULTRA VIOLET

One of the darkest and coolest colours of the year is UltraViolet. A colour that intrigues with its hybrid, mysterious nature, associated with the seventh chakra, where the human meets the divine. ‘Experiment’ is the word.
