Vans Introduces Iconic The Skate Old Skool 36+ Shoe Model
First released in 1977, the Style 36, also known as the Old Skool™, was the second skate shoe produced by Vans and the first to feature the iconic Sidestripe™. Designed by skateboarders for skateboarders, Old Skool™ enabled the development of skateboarding with its unique suede toe design. To honor this innovative legacy, Vans introduced the Skate Old Skool 36+ model. A brand new skate shoe, the Skate Old Skool 36+ largely preserves the original Style 36 silhouette and panel proportions, but offers a modern twist.

Skate Old Skool 36+ combines a padded tongue and shorter toe cap design that appeals to today’s skateboarders’ quest for style and durability. Designed faithfully to the original, this model is equipped with performance improvements for skateboarding. Featuring all the features of Skate Old Skool™, the 36+ strengthens high-wear areas with Vans’ DURACAP™ technology and makes the shoe resistant to the rigors of skateboarding.

Additionally, Vans’ SICKSTICK™ rubber compound and waffle sole provide superior grip and board control to the next level. POPCUSH™ insole technology provides optimal support, excellent impact protection and energy return, providing a smooth experience even on the most intense skateboarding tours.
