What can you tell us about Beymen Club’s Men? Who are they?

When we are designing our collections, we idealise a modern manliness built upon modesty as well as confidence. Beymen Club’s men define their style for themselves and they are the pioneers of effortless elegance. They are educated, nature-loving, astute customers who figured out what works for them. They live in a populous urban area with plenty of local art galleries and restaurants that caters to his esoteric interests. They buy cloths based on how they make them feel and they love mixing traditional with street-style.

What are Beymen Club’s 2019 Spring & Summer collections about?

It is about different experiences and feelings that create unimagined harmony. In menswear we have four different colour groups but it all combines in one idea. Starting with combination of the most traditional themes with active wear details, we focused on new needs of menswear and changing environment. Everything from t-shirts to tailored jackets has functional cuts, tape details and have sealed pockets with strong sense of fashion and graphics.

What are the most important and crucial steps to become a world-known men’s fashion brand?

Most important part of the work is about creating incentive identity and being consistent about what you are doing. The rest is becoming known for something distinctive and unique.

What do you think about Turkish men’s street style dressing?

Today favourable markets for menswear are primarily in Europe and US. Paris has luxury and number of distinctive concept stores, Florence is dedicated to preppy casual wear along with Pitti Uomo and street wear and most successful mid-market contemporary brands were born in New York and LA. Comparing these examples, Istanbul is a great candidate for all. As freethinking millennials become more engaged to fashion for self-expression, they became more creative and highly fashion-literate consumers. The older age group is also less diffident to diminish the culture gap between younger age groups.

What are the essential items every man has to have in his closet?

Dark shade wool blazer, black hoodie, denim trucker and white sneaker.

What are the coolest trends for Men’s 2019 Spring/Summer season?

One of the coolest trends of 2019 Spring/Summer is the use of white colour. Using bone tones for street fashion look is very fresh and sophisticated way to update casual outfits. It will even continue in next season, 2019 Fall/Winter collections. The other most important trend is ‘new utility’. The influence of active wear and luxury sportswear – outdoor brands collaborations are bringing performance-led trims, multi-pocket work wear aesthetics to casual wear.
