MBFWI DIGITAL: EMRE ERDEMOGLU SS 2020-21 COLLECTION

For the fist time ever, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul was streamed totally digital. EMRE ERDEMOGLU presents his SS 2020-21 Collection “Hold Me Close to Your Heart” where he promises a world in which it is still possible to embrace each other, to be free of prejudices and to hug each other more tightly than before.
Throughout the whole collection we see human figures intertwined with each other that are embroidered by special knitting printing techniques, and their details are interpreted in a graphic language, full of melancholy. The main pieces such as double-breasted blazer jackets, wide-shouldered trenchcoats and sweaters, pointed collar shirts and thin knitwear and ton-in-tone suits are inspired by the 70’s style. Printed scarfs, small functional leather wallets and baseball hats are among the most striking accessories. As for colors; in the collection dominated by black and brown tones, sometimes we come across with pastel blue and pastel yellows, light oranges and creams.
