MBFWI DIGITAL: NIYAZI ERDOGAN SS 2020-21 COLLECTION

For the fist time ever, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul was streamed totally digital. NIYAZI ERDOGAN presentes his SS 2020-21 COLLECTION by creating a completely digital atmosphere where his collection was displayed on the cyber models.
The source of inspiration for the collection comes from the Tatavla region in Istanbul, one of the main venues of cultural wealth that has faced discrimination and extinction for various reasons. We witness the unique cultural diversity of the old quarter thanks to the forms, patterns and warm colors of the ceramics and mosaics that decorate the apartment coverings in the Tatavla. Printed beach shirts, casual cut suits, spiral patterned short sleeve shirts and blazer jackets, sporty hoodies, loose and long T-shirts, mosaic embroidered shirt-shorts sets and swimwear, all structure the base of the collection. Neon orange sneakers and transparent beach sunglasses are the hypest accessories. And finally the colors; the earthy tones that we frequently see throughout the entire collection are accompanied by metallic greens and blues, warm grays and bordos and soft pinks.
